The Christmas program was today at school. I was so nervous for him. Both Grandmas, Grandpa, TJ, Brandon and I were there in the audience. I took every camera we owned; and, I exhaused a couple rolls of film and an entire video tape! He looked so cute in his little sweater vest and cordoury pants, even though he kept pulling the sweater over his head.
Working and being a mom has been tough--much tougher than I ever dreamed. And, I've had more than a little anxiety and guilt about sending Brykn to school/day care. But, I have to admit that at that moment, when I saw Brykn being such a big little boy, ringing his bell on cue, and looking for me in the audience, I have never been more proud of anything in my entire life. And, as the tears feel down my cheeks, I will always remember thinking, "He is mine. I am so lucky."
