The Future of Questar...

Brykn looks up to Brandon SO much! If Dad does, Brykn does it--and that includes working at Questar. Brykn doesn't think there's another job better than one at Questar. (I finally told him that he needed to be really smart to work at Questar just so he would pay better attention in pre-school. I know, I know. That's cheating, I know!)

One morning Brykn got up and was pretending (he's WAY into pretend) that he was going to work. He asked me to get out the ironing board and iron. When I asked why, he said, "So I can iron my pants to work at Questar." Like I said, he looks up to Brandon. :)

So, out came the ironing board. Later that day Brandon brought the work truck home. He told Brykn that as soon as the out fit in this picture fit him, he could work at Questar. His response was a very dismayed, "Wow, that's going to be a long time..."

Blessing Day

Harlee was blessed last week--April 11, 2010. Grandma Lauri bought her blessing dress and WOW! did she look BEAUTIFUL! Brykn was so cute, too. I bought him a suit and he thought it was fantastic. He couldn't wait to wear his "tie-on" and when it was time to get dressed, he asked Brandon how come Dad's suit has a jacket and his just has a "life-vest". Ha! Out of the mouths of babes!

Dustin blessed Harlee and he did such a nice job--thanks, Dustin!

A Bump in the Bed...

I always said I wouldn't let my kids sleep in my bed with me...then, I had kids. Some nights its just a matter of survival--stick the kids in the bed and GO TO SLEEP! Unfortunately Harlee seems to have made herself quite comfy ("compy" as Brykn says) in my bed. She looks so little in our big king-sized bed. It's like she's just a little bump!

Easter Time!

Easter means spring and believe me, we are SOOOO ready for spring! Brykn's not a "in-the-house" kid and we all have cabin fever. But, this Easter was cold--brrrr. The night before the egg hunt, it snowed! Nothin' like hunting eggs in the snow.

And, of course, the bunny came to our house. This year I put Junior Mints in a line on the floor from the front door to the couch in the front room. When Brykn came down the stairs, I told him that the Easter Bunny had pooped on our floor! He didn't buy it. He said, "Unt-un, that's candy!" So much for trying to fool him.

The Easter bunny brought Brykn a new pair of cowboy boots, a kite, a new outfit and of course, a basket full of candy. He (or she) brought Harlee a new out-fit, a t-shirt that says, "Treat Me Like You Would Treat the Queen", a stuffed bunny, and a new bottle. Happy Easter!
